Pick up your tickets, then relax in a roomy armchair until departure. Soft drinks and the day's newspapers are available - all free of charge, naturally. In Montréal, you can also relax in an electric massage chair.
You will be notified when the time comes to board the train (you are entitled to priority boarding). Please note that at Dorval station, you must pick up your tickets at the ticket counter before going to the Panorama lounge.
COMFORT & TOUCHES OF CLASS
Your reservation lets you choose your seat on board. You'll find the spacious and stylish VIA 1 cars conducive to relaxation. Settle in your generously cushioned seat, recline it, stretch your legs and sit back, enjoying all the room you have.
To help you work better, there's a tray to accommodate your laptop computer. No need to worry about battery life: you can plug in to the power outlet provided.
Most trains in southern Québec and southern Ontario operate LRC cars. The colour scheme and lighting in the VIA 1 LRC car create a distinctive, soothing atmosphere that our customers greatly appreciate.
On some trips between Québec City, Montréal and Ottawa, VIA Rail is now offering passengers the luxurious VIA 1 Renaissance cars. These new European-designed cars are the pride of VIA Rail.
Better still, holders of VIA 1 class tickets traveling in Renaissance cars also enjoy exclusive access to the VIA 1 lounge. Rivaling our sumptuous Panorama lounges for comfort, these cars give you something that no other mode of land or air transport can: the chance to leave your seat and stroll to the lounge to meet other passengers in VIA 1 class. And while there, you can help yourself to fruit juice or soft drinks. Alcoholic drinks, also free to VIA 1 class passengers, are served by the attendant at the service counter.

You'll be served a delicious meal, included in the ticket price. Then, let us spoil you and start your evening with an after-dinner liqueur.
Sometimes during peak travel periods, your main course selection may not be available. We thank you for understanding.

BAGGAGE
If you are leaving from Montréal or Toronto, let us carry your baggage to the train.
If you are traveling in Southern Québec and Southern Ontario, it is possible that your train will not have a baggage car. In this case, we ask you to limit yourself to two articles of baggage.
Some exceptions
Trains number 57 and 60 between Montréal and Toronto, and number 70, 75 and 675 between Toronto and Windsor have a baggage car. If you are traveling on any of these trains, you can check up to six articles, three free of charge, and carry two other articles into the car with you. Between Québec City and Montréal, VIA is now using Renaissance cars. On these trains, you can take only one article of baggage into the car with you, but you can check up to seven articles, four free of charge.
SMOKING
Since there are no smoking cars available in southern Québec and southern Ontario, smoking is prohibited aboard all trains in this region. TOP
