Day 1 – Calgary
Arrive in Calgary and proceed to your downtown hotel accommodation on you own. The rest of the day is free to explore the “Stampede City” ad enjoy one of Canada’s fastest growing and most dynamic communities.

Day 2 – Calgary to Banff
This morning depart Calgary by private motor coach for the Banff and the Canadian Rockies. Soon the foothills of the Rockies appear and within an hour you will enter Banff National Park, one of Canada’s oldest and most recognized wilderness areas. Once you have arrived at the alpine resort of Banff you will be taken on a tour of the city, visiting the Cave and Basin Centre, Bow Falls, Surprise Corner, the Hoodoos and the Banff Gondola. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore Banff on your own

Day 3 – Banff to Lake Louise
Today starts with a half-day tour that will take you along the Bow River and into Yoho National Park and the province of British Columbia. Stops along the way will include the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and the Natural Bridge. By noon the tour will reach Lake Louise where you will have the afternoon to leisurely enjoy this “gem of the Rockies”. Your accommodation for the night is the world famous Chateau Lake Louise.
OPTIONAL TOUR:
You may wish to replace the Yoho Park Tour and guided Lakeshore stroll with a Glacier Helicopter Tour with Ranch Lunch. A $219 CDN per person price supplement will apply.
Glacier Helicopter Tour with Ranch Lunch – Enjoy a 25-minute helicopter flight above the six glaciers of Mount Resolute, Mount Cline and the Whitegoat Peaks. You will also view a 270-metre (900-foot) waterfall, see some spectacular aqua-green high-alpine lakes and cross over a 2,700-metre (9,000-foot) mountain pass. A visit to a local ranch will provide ample time to discover the walking trails on-site and enjoy lunch at your leisure.
Note: While arrival at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise will be approximately 12:00 p.m. (noon), scheduled check-in time is not until 4:00 p.m. In the event that your room is not ready, your luggage will be stored and you are free to enjoy the amenities of the hotel.

Day 4 – Lake Louise to Jasper
Today you will enjoy a full day of sightseeing as you travel from Lake Louise to Jasper. This is a day full of highlights as you journey through both Banff and Jasper National Parks along the spectacular Icefields Highway. Along the way azure blue lakes, cascading waterfalls, snow-covered mountain peaks and mischievous wildlife will highlight the day. You will also view the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle. A journey (included) on the vast Athabasca Glacier in the comfort of a massive Ice Explorer vehicle will add to the excitement of the day. Today’s tour ends in Jasper where you will have the evening free to shop and explore.
Note: Ice Explorer operates from April 15 - October 15, weather permitting. When the Snocoach is not running, it will be replaced with lunch at Simpson’s Num-Ti-Jah Lodge

Day 5 – Touring Jasper
Today you can spend either the morning or afternoon touring Jasper by motor coach Included in the tour are Patricia and Pyramid Lakes, Maligne Canyon and the Athabasca Lookout. The rest of the day is free for your leisure and exploration of this beautiful resort town. White water rafting on the Athabasca, cruising on Maligne Lake or taking a 6500 ft gondola ride on the Jasper Skytram is some of the options available

Day 6 – Rocky Mountaineer ® - Jasper to Kamloops
Today you board the Rocky Mountaineer ® train for a relaxing rail trip from the Rocky Mountains of Jasper to the vast interior plateau of Kamloops in British Columbia. As you journey west and south you will be following the paths of the mighty Fraser and Thompson Rivers over the Continental Divide and through the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. One of the highlights of the day will be Mt Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies (12,972 feet). Your rail journey ends for the day in the fast-growing city of Kamloops, industrial and transportation hub of southern British Columbia.

Day 7 – Rocky Mountaineer ® - Kamloops to Calgary
This morning you re-board the Rocky Mountaineer ® for the final part of your journey, traveling eastward back into the Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Today is one of the most spectacular days of the trip with scenery that includes ranch land, lakes, rivers, and mountain passes. The rich history of the Canadian Pacific Railway is showcased as the train passes by Craigellachie, site of the “last spike” ceremony completing the railroad, and through the world famous “spiral tunnels”. All the while the, snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies provide a majestic background for the Rocky Mountaineer ® as it rolls into Banff for a brief stop before continuing on the Calgary and the end of this remarkable journey.
