Dear Chris,
We are back from our wonderful Canadian adventure with awesome memories of our experiences!! I am very thankful to have found you and your company on the internet. Now that I think about our trip, I realize there were many ways things could have gone wrong but didn’t thanks to your planning.
Upon our arrival in Calgary we were greeted by a very friendly guide who had been misinformed about how many of us there would be(four but he thought only two). We were not sure what would happen, but he promptly arranged for a larger vehicle and we were on our way to beautiful Banff. One of our disappointments on the trip is that we didn’t have enough time in Banff. I am sure we will return someday!!! The town and hotel were better than I had expected ----we just needed more time there.
The second day is our most memorable because of all of our expeditions and also because we had an interesting and knowledgeable guide named Paul. He was great, and I ask that you pass our kudos along to Sundog. I want to thank you for recommending that we get a driver, also. It allowed us to see and hear about so much more than if we had been trying to read a guide book along the way. I highly recommend it for others, too. As I mentioned, we had a busy day. We will never forget the beautiful lakes, but the highlight of that day was our helicopter tour and lunch. The experience of flying up and over the mountain was awesome and the picnic along a glacier stream was gourmet with table, chairs, tablecloth and God’s natural beauty all around our private luncheon! We all enjoyed seeing and walking on the glacier area, too. We looked for bears all day and were rewarded just as we were about to enter Jasper! The accommodations there were very nice and would be even better if you were staying a few days to enjoy the area. These short sentences about our experiences can’t do them justice, though.
Next, our ride on the VIA Rail was relaxing and fun. We were glad we took first class accommodations and were able to enjoy the vistas of the Canadian Rockies as we traveled.
Vancouver was great for us because our entire family was together. Our Sunday morning seaplane ride to Victoria was delayed due to weather but we made it over and enjoyed the day. The return flight was cancelled so we had to take the ferry back. It wasn’t a bad experience, but we missed some of Victoria since our time was cut short. It gives us a reason to return!! We had morning meetings each day after that, but were able to go to Granville Island one afternoon and rode bikes for a couple of hours in Stanley Park on the other afternoon that we had free. Then it was on to Whistler. Our driver was patient with the road work and views on the Sea to Sky Highway were wonderful. It was great having a condo for the family in Whistler and ours was very nice. There was a huge mountain bike event going on that week so things were hopping! Lots of music and excitement everywhere we went! We were there to have fun so we rented bikes for two days and had a ball. The other adventurous thing we did was the Ziptrek Tour #2. WOW! You have to try it if you haven’t already, and we all highly recommend it. I was the most fearful and I loved every moment! We decided we’d all like to come back to Whistler someday, too!
I have already given your name to a couple of people interested in coming to Canada. Everything you planned worked out so well. I also want you to know that we appreciated your staff calling us about the possibility of the rail strike. You and everyone were extremely professional, easy to work with and we appreciate your help. Thank you for helping me plan such a memorable and exciting trip.
If you ever need suggestions about Kentucky I hope you will call. May God bless you and all of the staff at Exclusively Canada.
Blessings,
- T. Bachman
Hi Chris,
We all made it back in one piece, with no problems other than lack of sleep and depleted exchequer. The weather was perfect, and the scenery breathtaking. Pat enjoyed her birthday trip very much.
Thanks for your help and patience in arranging the trip and answering all my dumb questions. We look forward to booking another tour through you someday in the not=too-distant future.
- S. Paddock
Dear Jennifer,
Thanks for your kind message. The trip was wonderful! We loved the hotels and the VIA Rail's Canadian Train, including the tours and the transfer from Banff to Jasper with Joel, a very polite young guide. Our trip was very pleasant and unforgettable! Be sure we will recomend Exclusevely Canada for ours friends.
Best regards,
- Dr. J. Carneiro
Hi Chris -- the trip was great. We were very happy with it. In a snapshot:
-- hotels were very good
-- we liked the overnight train -- only thing was the single cabin was not comfortable for my 90 year-old father. Had we known the single was so small, we would have booked a double for him -- it would have been worth the price. We were happy with the double.
-- meals on the train were very good
-- the two tours were surprisingly good (Jasper wilderness, and trip between Jasper and Banff). For some reason, I missed the fact that these were private tours, so we were pleasantly surprised to see a mini-van pull up rather than a big bus. The guides were very personable and knowledgeable. The drive between Jasper and Banff was truly gorgeous.
Other than the size of the single cabin on the train, the trip went without a hitch and we were delighted with it.
Thanks again for your help on this.
