Day 1 – Arrive in Vancouver
Welcome to Vancouver! When you arrive at Vancouver International Airport you will be met by a driver and limousine and transferred to your downtown hotel accommodation. The balance of the day is free for you to explore the city.

Day 2 – Rocky Mountaineer® - Vancouver to Kamloops
This is your first day to indulge yourself in the comforts and amenities that are a part of the Rocky Mountaineer® GoldLeaf Service®. Watch panoramic views of the spectacular scenery through the Dome windows and enjoy gourmet meals in the GoldLeaf® Dining Room. Today the train rolls through the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley and into the forests and winding river canyons of the Coast and Cascade Mountains. A dramatic change takes place later in the afternoon as you travel past the rushing waters of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers and climb onto the desert like environment of the BC Interior. Finally, the train eases along the shore of placid Kamloops Lake on its’ way to the city of Kamloops and your resting spot for the night. Dinner is included tonight at your accommodation.

Day 3 – Rocky Mountaineer® - Kamloops to Banff
This morning you re-board the Rocky Mountaineer® for the final part of your journey, traveling eastward back into the Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Today is one of the most spectacular days of the trip with scenery that includes ranch land, lakes, rivers, and mountain passes. The rich history of the Canadian Pacific Railway is showcased as the train passes by Craigellachie, site of the “last spike” ceremony completing the railroad, and through the world famous “spiral tunnels”. All the while the, snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies provide a majestic background for the Rocky Mountaineer® as it rolls into the alpine resort of Banff. A limousine will take you to your accommodation at the castle-like Banff Springs Hotel.

Day 4 – Free Day in Banff
Today is a totally free day of leisure. Take some time to enjoy the many amenities of the Banff Springs Hotel or walk down to the main part of town and explore the shops and galleries of the city. You might choose to utilize your CDN $500 per person credit for a treatment at the world-renowned Willow Stream Spa or play a round of golf on the championship course along the Bow River.

Day 5 – Free Day in Banff
Another day to enjoy the many attractions of this delightful resort town. The Sulphur Mountain Gondola offers a panoramic view of the whole Bow valley from it’s’ summit at 6500 feet. Visit the historic Cave and Basin Museum, take a trail ride or get wet on an exhilarating rafting adventure. And, don’t forget the great shops, galleries and restaurants!

Day 6 – Private Limousine Tour from Banff to Lake Louise / Helicopter Tour
This morning you will be met by your driver in the lobby of the Banff Springs Hotel. He will take you by private limousine for a special tour of the area between Banff and Lake Louise. Following the Bow River you can visit Johnston Canyon, Hole-In-The-Wall, and Castle Mountain. A special treat awaits when you lift-off for a 55 minute helicopter flight over the spectacular Wilson Icefield. Later in the afternoon you will arrive at romantic Lake Louise and check in at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise for the next 3 days.

Day 7 – Free Day in Lake Louise
Wake up late and enjoy the view of the lake and its’ surrounding mountains and glaciers. This is truly “the Gem of the Rockies”. Spend the day enjoying the amenities of the Chateau. Use some of your Fairmont credits for a spa treatment, a canoe rental, a meal in one of the fine restaurants or a purchase in one of the Canadian shops.

Day 8 – Free Day in Lake Louise
Another day to relax and indulge your senses. Today may be a good day to walk to the end of the lake or if you have a little more energy take the hike to the Tea House overlooking Lake Louise. The concierge will provide you with activity details for all events taking place both inside and outside of the hotel.

Day 9 – Lake Louise to Calgary
Wake up early and catch the sunrise over Lake Louise. You will never forget the beauty of the sun glistening off the Victoria glacier. All too soon your limousine will arrive to drive you to the Calgary International Airport where you vacation concludes.
