KERMODE BEAR VIEWING AT KING PACIFIC LODGE

Day 1 - Arrive Vancouver
Upon arrival at the Vancouver International Airport, you will be met by your private sedan and transfer to downtown Vancouver. Remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this great city.

Day 2 - Arrive at King Pacific Lodge
In the early afternoon your private sedan will transfer you back to the Vancouver Fairmont Airport Hotel where you will meet your King Pacific Lodge representative and transfer to the South Terminal for your flight to Bella Bella. Upon arrival in Bella Bella, you will be met by your King Pacific Lodge representative and transfer to the floatplane dock for your short flight from Bella Bella to the King Pacific Lodge, approximately arrival time 4:30pm. You will be greeted with a Champagne welcome upon arrival. All meals are included during your stay.

Day 3 & 4 - Kermode Bear Viewing
Today is yours to explore the area. You will spend the next 2 days sharing the magical experience of observing the rare and mystical Spirit bear. Isolated for thousands of years on remote Princess Royal Island in British Columbia, this small community of 'white' black bears, also known as the Spirit or Ghost bear by the First Nation people, inhabit some of the most pristine areas left on earth. Native legend tells the story of The Raven, the creator, who came to the island and made every tenth bear white to remind us of the Ice Age. He designated this special place to be the home of the Spirit bear forever. Only very few people have the chance to see this rarest of North American mammals, and for those who do it is believed to bring good fortune. King Pacific Lodge has developed Kermode bear watching trips in conjunction with biologists and during September small groups are able to take part in "The Quest for the Kermode Bear" led by an experienced guide. and unlimited use of lodge facilities.

Day 5 - Depart King Pacific Lodge
You have the day to enjoy the lodge before departing the lodge in the late afternoon. Depart King Pacific Lodge, via floatplane and fly back to Bella Bella. Upon arrival, you will transfer to the Bella Bella Airport in time for your flight back to Vancouver. Upon arrival, you will walk a short distance to the Fairmont Airport Hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 6 - Depart Vancouver
This morning you will depart your hotel and walk to your airline check-in counter in time for your return flight home.
