Day 2 - Wilderness Eco Tour
Sonora also offers a range of exhilarating outdoor adventure opportunities. Today board a 28 foot Zodiac boat that will take you from the ordinary to the extraordinary! Enjoy a three hour guided tour presented by knowledgeable local guides through personal headphones. The hush motors will run quietly so you can hear the sounds of the surrounding BC waters and wildlife and the colour view finder will allow you to watch the sea life even more clearly! Enjoy the breathtaking views, and maybe catch a glimpse of grizzlies and eagles in the wild or dolphins and Orca whales across the bow.
Back at the resort you can take in a game of tennis or play a round of golf at nearby Storey Creek Golf Course - three-time winner of Golf Digest's Places to Play award. And at the end of a spectacular day on the water or on the links, why not relax and rejuvenate in one of the outdoor mineral pools at the resort's elegant Spa and Wellness Centre - over 5000 feet of luxurious serenity and unadulterated pampering just for you.

Today you have your choice between experiencing Grizzlies in their natural habitat OR enjoy an exhilarating paddle through the protected waters of the Outer Discovery Islands.
Guided Grizzly Tour (August 15 - October 15)
Experience a once in a life-time opportunity - view the elusive West Coast Grizzly in their natural habitat. Even in British Columbia, the place that experts consider the last stronghold of this magnificent beast, Grizzlies are rarely seen. By disposition they are very shy. Consider it - only an hour, from Sonora, by our state-of-the-art Zodiac boat Grizzlies catch salmon and play with their cubs.
See Grizzly and Black Bears on the world famous Homalco Wildlife Tour deep inside the Traditional Territory of the Homalco First Nation and Bute Inlet, British Columbia Canada.
Every year in the summer and the early fall, the Bears of Bute gather on the banks of the Orford River systems to participate in one of nature's most incredible displays - the return of the Salmon! The Chum and Coho salmon return from the ocean to the fresh water streams and rivers where they spawn and finally die. One of the last challenges in the life cycle of the Salmon is escaping the gathering of hungry Grizzly and Black Bears on the Orford River banks. These majestic creatures are preparing for the long cold winter ahead by gorging themselves on as much Salmon as they can catch. An event that is both exciting and awe inspiring to witness. You will view the bears' home territory from one of three uniquely designed 10-foot high viewing stands.
Guided Kayaking Tour (June 1 - September 30)
Accompany seasoned guides through the matchless scenery and calm, protected waters of the Outer Discovery Islands. Coastal BC is a world-renowned crucible of biological diversity; the intertidal zone is rich with marine life such as kelp crabs, giant anemones and rockfish. Watch the surface for mink, otters, seals and whales - kayakers have even been known to encounter schools of dolphins - or look up to see bald eagles, kingfishers and herons soaring overhead. The peaceful quiet of paddling makes a kayaking tour the ideal way to commune with British Columbia's nature, up close.
At the end of the day, visit the main lodge which boasts an open bar, pool and shuffleboard, to golf simulators and a 12-seat movie theatre. Also on site is a stocked trout pond for fly fishing, equipment and lessons included, and a gym.

Day 4 - Guided Nature Hike
Sonora Resort holds a special treat for hiking enthusiasts. Enjoy a guided hike with one of the resorts experienced BC hiking guides. Take a moderate hike to the pristine Florence Lake nestled four kilometers behind the resort at the end of a beautiful, clearly marked hiking trail. If you are felling more adventures, your guide can take you further afield into heavenly terrain. This is a great opportunity to appreciate the local flora and fauna.

Day 5 - Helicopter Glacier & Nature Tour including Picnic Lunch
Today you will be lifted high above the rest with an exclusive helicopter tour. Take this unique opportunity to survey the lush beauty of Desolation Sound from an eagle's perspective as the helicopter hovers over stunning glaciers, mountains and waterfalls.
