Day 1 - Quebec City, Quebec
Take some time and enjoy this historic city before boarding your luxury cruise ship later in the afternoon. Nestled beside the majestic St Lawrence River, Quebec City is the oldest walled city in North America. It is a delight for history buffs and full of small galleries and boutiques. Four centuries of British and French history meld together on the cobblestone streets. Visit the Musée de la Civilization or step onto the Plains of Abraham where the history of Canada was decided in one short battle between the French and British.
Get acquainted with the ship and crew and settle in to your gracefully appointed stateroom where all the comforts of home surround you in a casually elegant atmosphere. Watch from your private balcony as the harbor of Quebec City slowly slips away and your Splendor of Canada cruise.

Day 2 & 3 - Saguenay Fjord, Quebec
Cruising on the St. Lawrence River is an incredible experience. The river is so large that sometimes it is not possible to see both shores. It is the chief source of commercial movement for 5 provinces and a dozen States. It is also the most historic waterway in Canada. Along its shores are many treats, including the world famous Saguenay Fjord. Here, where the St. Lawrence and Saguenay Rivers meet is one of the most popular whale watching spots in Canada. The estuary supports a colony of over 1000 whales of every species. The community of Tadoussac is famous for its scenic and natural attractions as it welcomes ships to the majestic fjord.

Day 4 – Matane, Quebec
The rugged coastline of the St Lawrence periodically gives way to rugged and remote communities which have survived for decades on fishing and the lumber industry. Matane is one of those small towns located at the junction of the St Lawrence and Matane Rivers. Visited by renowned explorers such as Samuel de Champlain and Jacques Cartier in the early 1500’s Matane can trace its’ heritage back to the early French settlers in 1795.

Day 5 – Gaspé, Quebec
The deepwater port of Gaspé is notable for having been the first stop of Jacques Cartier in 1534, to claim the land for France. That is why Gaspé is called “The Birthplace of Canada”. The town is located on the second largest natural bay in the world which is fed by three of the most productive salmon rivers in Quebec. Gaspé is also known for its wonderful beaches and Forillon National Park.

Day 6 – Iles de la Madeleine, Quebec
These islands of Quebec are home of some of the most relaxing beaches in Canada as well as some of the most charming ancient villages in North America. Inhabited by French speaking Acadians in 1755 the land has been farmed continually ever since. On the other side of the island communities began as survivors from more than 400 shipwrecks were washed ashore. The few fishing families who still make this island their home have taken to painting their cottages in bright and beautiful colors to show their pride and love of their community.

Day 7 & 8 - At Sea / Baddeck, Nova Scotia
Cape Breton Island is a true enigma. Cut off from the mainland by a small strait of water, Cape Breton Island is rugged, beautiful and mysterious. The picturesque village of Baddeck is situated on the shores of beautiful Bras d’Or Lake in the heart of the island. This was the summer home of Alexander Graham Bell and his family and is the site of the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site complete with photos, models, and artifacts describing his fascinating life and works. This picturesque village is a highlight of any trip to Cape Breton Island.

Day 9 - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Cruise along the shores of pastoral Prince Edward Island and view the magnificent beaches, lush fields and world famous golf courses. You’ll dock in the heart of Charlottetown, home of the “Fathers of Confederation” and birthplace of the Canadian nation. You’ll take time to visit the old farmhouse immortalized in Lucy Maud Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables and experience state-of-the-art exhibits at Founders Hall. The true architectural jewel of downtown Charlottetown is the majestic St. Dunstan’s Cathedral. Its three copper spires will dominate the skyline as you set sail later in the evening.

Day 10 – At Sea
Relax today and enjoy the ambiance and quiet luxury of your ship. The beautiful shorelines of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia slip by and create a gentle backdrop for our last day of cruising.

Day 11 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
Early this morning our adventure in Luxury Cruising comes to and end as you dock in Halifax harbor.
