Day 1 - Arrive Igoolik / Transfer to Base Camp
Today you will arrive on your own in Igloolik. You will be met by your guide at the airport and transfer to the base camp at Igloolik Point. The next several days will be spent on the land. You'll set up a cozy base camp at the water's edge and sleep in a tent camp and enjoy home cooked meals.

Moderate: Overnight at Igloolik Point - Tent Base Camp
Day 2 to 6 - Walrus & Bowhead Whale Viewing
On daily boat excursions (weather permitting) you will explore the ice-floe-dotted waters of the Foxe Basin. Keep your eyes peeled for marine mammals such as bearded seal, bowhead whale and walrus. Have fun keeping track of and identifying the dozens of shore birds you will encounter. On land, as the tundra springs to life following the winter, enjoy short hikes in search of Sabine's gulls, eider ducks, snow geese, red-throated loons and the remains of an ancient civilization.
Moderate:Overnight at Igloolik Point - Tent Base Camp
Day 7 - Return to Igloolik
This morning depart Igloolik Point and return to the town of Igloolik. Transfer directly to the airport or spend time in town, meeting the local people and visiting the shops.
