Day 1 - Arrive Toronto
Upon arrival at the Toronto International Airport you will be met by your private sedan and transfer to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to start exploring this world class destination.

Day 2 & 3 - VIA Rail - Toronto to Jasper
Transfer (on own) to the Toronto Union Station. Your train adventure across Canada begins at Toronto Union Station early in the morning as VIA Rail's Canadian train rolls out of the Toronto station. Your journey will take 2 nights as you cross the lake country and prairies of central Canada. Enjoy private bedroom accommodation, meals in the private dining car and relax in the 'Silver & Blue Lounge' or Dome car.

Day 4 - Arrive Jasper
Your journey will reach the Canadian Rockies by mid-afternoon today. You will arrive at the train station in the quaint mountain village of Jasper, the northern gateway to the Canadian Rockies. Upon arrival in Jasper, you will transfer (on own) to your hotel for check-in. Remainder of the afternoon & evening at leisure.

Day 5 - Maligne Valley & Wildlife Tour
Embark on a tour of one of the most spectacular areas of Jasper National Park. Visit shimmering Patricia and Pyramid Lakes and take a stroll over a rustic footbridge to Pyramid Lake Island. From there travel through the Maligne Valley in search of Osprey, eagle, big horn sheep, mountain goat, moose, elk, deer and bear. Stop at Maligne Canyon where 10,000 years of erosion have created a 165-foot deep gorge. Here you will set off on a short walk to marvel at the Maligne River as it thunders through the canyon in a series of waterfalls. From the canyon, continue to disappearing Medicine Lake and then to spectacular Maligne Lake. Have your cameras ready as both areas are rich in wildlife and scenery. The remainder of the day is at leisure

Day 6 - VIA Rail - Jasper to Vancouver
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon, you will transfer (on own) to the Jasper train station.Here you will board VIA Rail's 'Canadian' train. Enjoy private bedroom accommodation, meals in the private dining car and relax in the 'Silver & Blue Lounge' or Dome car. You will depart Jasper National Park. You will pass Mt. Robson, the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies, and you will see glaciers, mountain peaks and lush forests.

Day 7 - Arrive Vancouver / Day at Leisure
In the early morning the train will arrive in Vancouver. Upon arrival in Vancouver, you will be met by your private sedan and transfer to your hotel. At the hotel, you will store your luggage with the bell desk and begin exploring the city at leisure.
OPTIONAL TOURS:
Grouse Mountain & Capilano Suspension Bridge Tour (Westbound Passengers)
This morning you will begin your tour of Vancouver's North Shore. From Stanley Park, you will travel across the Lions Gate Bridge to North Vancouver. Visit the Capilano Fish Hatchery and learn about salmon spawning and walk through the rain forest park. You will continue Capilano Suspension Bridge where you will Swing 230 feet above the Capilano River as you cross the suspension bridge. You will also experience the new Tree Top Adventure, Treetops offers visitors a squirrel's eye view of a thriving coastal forest, as they venture from one magnificent Douglas fir tree to another via a series of elevated suspension bridges, some reaching as high as 100 feet above the forest floor. In the afternoon, visit Grouse Mountain and take a sky Ride to the top of the mountain where you will enjoy the panoramic and spectacular views from the mountaintop. This is a memorable journey around the mountaintop through lush forests. This is what memories are made of. You will have ample time on top for lunch and to enjoy activities such as the Theatre in the Sky, seasonal Lumberjack Shows and Grizzly Bear refuge. In the late afternoon, you will return to your hotel.
Vancouver City Tour (Eastbound Passengers)
At the hotel, you will store your luggage with the bell desk and depart on a 4 hour morning city tour. You will see Stanley Park, Gastown, Robson Street, English Bay, Queen Elizabeth Park and Granville Island. A visit to the Lookout Tower is included, providing you with a bird's-eye view of Vancouver.

Today is at leisure to explore Toronto. Transfer (on own) to the Toronto Union Station. Your train adventure across Canada begins this evening (approximately 9:30pm) as VIA Rail's Canadian train rolls out of Union station. You are retracing a journey that started over 120 years ago on a ribbon of steel that still connects Canada from coast to coast. On the first leg of its epic journey across Canada, the Canadian travels through some of the least populated regions as it crosses Canada's largest province, Ontario. Day 3 & 4 - VIA Rail - Ontario / Manitoba / Saskatchewan
Today the journey continues through the vast forest and lake country of Ontario. From the isolated lumber community of Sioux Lookout to the Manitoba capital of Winnipeg, the Canadian rarely is interrupted by civilization. The train rolls relentlessly westward passing pristine lakes, forests and nature rich marshes. Soon the vast wheatfields of Saskatchewan present themselves in golden splendour. If you're lucky you might just catch the electrifying action of a prairie lightning storm before you turn in for the night.
